Bank of Russia cuts the key rate to 16.5 % p.a.

On 24 October 2025, the Bank of Russia cut its key rate by 50 basis points to 16.5 % per annum. The next rate decision is scheduled for 19 December.

On 24 October 2025, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia cut the key rate by 50 basis points; it now stands at 16.5 % per annum.

The cut improves access to corporate credit and broadens the horizon for investment decisions.

However, inflation in Russia remains elevated and lending terms retain a tight profile.

The next key-rate meeting of the Board is scheduled for 19 December 2025.
