FAS: Wildberries and Ozon practices harm sellers and customers
An expert council under Russia's FAS has flagged practices at Wildberries and Ozon as restricting the interests of merchants and customers, including stock indices and forced returns.
An expert council under Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has flagged certain practices at Wildberries and Ozon as restricting the interests of merchants and customers.
Wildberries' Stock Index, in force since August 2025, forces sellers either to accept higher storage fees or to agree to platform-imposed discounts without separate consent. The Attractive Price tool similarly obliges sellers to sell at platform-set prices.
On Ozon, from 1 October 2025 cancelled and returned orders automatically go to the marketplace's warehouse for resale, depriving sellers of control over their inventory.
According to the FAS expert council, marketplace rules must be transparent and consistent with the interests of small and medium-sized businesses.
