Updated industrial product rules postponed to 1 September 2026

The Russian government has postponed the entry into force of updated industrial product requirements to 1 September 2026, with prior certificates remaining valid through the transition.

The introduction of updated requirements for industrial products has been postponed from 1 September 2025 to 1 September 2026. The decision followed appeals from the business community and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

The trigger for the postponement was the risk that products manufactured under prior certificates could be deemed non-compliant. Industry associations warned that maintaining the original timeline would have triggered supply disruptions and material losses for manufacturers.

Documentation issued before the new rules take effect will remain valid until 1 September 2026. Manufacturers thereby gain an additional year to align production processes and demonstrate manufacturing stability.
