Moscow building 17 new metro stations across three lines

Moscow is simultaneously building 17 metro stations – two on existing lines and fifteen on three new lines. Another 30 stations are planned by 2030.

Moscow is simultaneously building 17 metro stations, Deputy Mayor Vladimir Yefimov said. Two of them – Dostoyevskaya and Golyanovo – are on existing lines; the remaining fifteen are on new lines.

Eight stations are under construction on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line; Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoye Opolcheniye and Bulvar Generala Karbysheva are scheduled to open first. Three stations are on the Biryulyovskaya line: ZIL, Ostrov Mechty and Klenovy Bulvar. Four stations are on the Troitskaya line: ZIL, Krymskaya, Akademicheskaya and Vavilovskaya.

By 2030, Moscow plans to build another 30 stations; by 2035, twice as many.
