OSK shipyards idle: VTB to hand list of plants to the government
VTB CEO Andrey Kostin said United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) still operates plants without orders; the list of facilities will be passed to the government and the president.
VTB CEO Andrey Kostin reported that the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) operates a number of plants without orders, including the Sevastopol shipyard with about 200 employees. The list of affected facilities will be passed to the government and the president.
OSK was established in 2007 by a presidential decree of Vladimir Putin; in 2023, management of the holding was transferred to VTB Group amid financial difficulties. The corporation's 2025 figures have not been disclosed.
In summer 2025, Khabarovsk Krai acquired a local OSK shipyard for a symbolic rouble; the plant's liabilities transferred to the region.
