VTB unit acquires Kamchatka Shale resort and expands tourism investment

A VTB subsidiary has acquired the Kamchatka Shale hotel complex near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and continues to invest in regional tourism infrastructure with a total commitment above RUB 14 billion.

A VTB subsidiary has acquired the Kamchatka Shale hotel complex in the village of Paratunka near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The asset previously belonged to entities linked to the son of the Primorye Krai governor.

The bank plans to develop the surrounding territory and build additional hotel facilities. In parallel, VTB is financing the expansion of the region's tourism base.

Announced projects include a four-star hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a year-round children's camp in the Yelizovsky District. Total investment exceeds RUB 14 billion.
